OpenAI plans to announce its artificial intelligence-powered search product, AI-powered search engine SearchGPT on Monday 13th May 2024, according to two sources familiar with the matter, raising the stakes in its competition with search king Google. OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, is reportedly developing a search product that could rival Google and the well-funded AI search startup Perplexity. The announcement date is yet to be confirmed, but it's expected to happen soon. This AI search Startup can reshape the way people are using the search engines.

On May 9th, 2024 Sam Altman announced through the social media platform "X '' that they are going to launch an AI-powered Search Engine, that can extract data directly from the internet and present it to its users in reply to its user's query.
